artist statement
In meiner skulpturalen Arbeit folge ich dem Verlauf von Zeit – jenen feinen Schichten, in den sich Material, Erinnerung und Vergänglichkeit verschränken.
Mich fasziniert das Beiläufige und Allgegenwärtige – das „Verworfene“. Ein zentraler Ausgangspunkt meiner Arbeit ist die künstlerische Transformation vermeintlich wertloser Materialien, die bereits ein „Vorleben“ in sich tragen, sowie Prozesse der Wertzuschreibung und die Befragung verborgener Machtstrukturen, die unseren Blick auf Objekte, Materialien und ihre Geschichten prägen.

In my sculptural work, I follow the traces of time – those subtle layers in which material, memory and transience interweave.
I am fascinated by the unnoticed and the ever-present – the ‘discarded’. A central starting point for my work is the artistic alienation of supposedly worthless materials that already carry a ‘previous life’ within them. I focus on the processes of value attribution and question the hidden power structures that shape our view of things, materials and their history.
